The call to lockdown the country is essential to contain the spread of COVID-19 and it is our duty to ensure that we curb spread of this disease ensuring safety for all. Proper PPE protocols and pre-appointment monitoring of patients and staff symptoms are conducted regularly to ensure that our staff and patients are safe at all times. As per required protocol, we attend to one patient at a time. Accompanying persons are to wait in the parking area. Whilst we make every effort to ensure good time management for all appointments, it is, however, not unlikely that complications may arise necessitating undue extension of a patient appointment. In light of the need to limit person numbers in our confined space, we ask that all patients announce their arrival for their appointment telephonically whilst waiting in the parking lot, until we have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the operatory. Digital bookings and reminders help ensure timeous notice and rescheduling, however, efficient communication between the practice and patients are considered key to preventing the likelihood of unmet expectations and or unnecessary inconveniences.
This practice promises you a Slow Dentistry experience. With our simple, easy to understand, slow steps to ensure your safety and well-being in the chair, you can be sure that we will take all the time necessary in your appointment. What are our cornerstones? A few simple, yet very important steps are guaranteed for your well-being and safety:
PPE protocol compliance at all times; adequate and good anaesthesia; the use of rubber dam for treatment procedures; effective communication explaining treatment options, commensurate costs as well as risks; ensuring signed informed consent before proceeding.
We would expect that you would hold us accountable should you not be afforded this at all times.
